This is a PERFECT idea!!! So many options!! For refrence I love things with japanese characters on them (like sanrio/hello kitty style animals, owls or black cats..)

I love gel pens or mechanical pencils! Any colors any designs or plain doesn't matter I just love new writing utensils.
