Hi Magpies!

For this swap you'll be creating a mini-magpie journal for your partner. Your finished journal should measure no smaller than 4"x6" and no larger than 5" x 7". Please begin with 3 FLAT SHEETS. When folded you'll have a cover, a back and 10 'sides' to decorate. Use any type of center binding you like--sewing, staples, etc.

Add whatever you like to the journal--things you find out in the world, things in your kitchen, images from books & magazines, things in your craft space--anything that speaks to you. You're even welcome to create things to go into your journal. You might have a set of paints you love--create something with them and include it. If you created a masterboard and have a leftover piece, include it! Anything and everything you find eye-catching. Feel free to write in the journal as well--you might provide a written 'guided tour' of what you include.

I'm so glad you're happy with the swap! I love these, especially when they're a manageable amount of pages. I tend to get behind on journals and when they're L O N G, I panic ;+)

Also in the US, a first class letter can be as large as 6.125 X 11.5 X .25 so, a 4X6 with only 10 pages (including the cover) opened up flat is only 6 X 8 (weight limit 3.5 oz) - even internationally that is affordable to mail.

Yupo paper is pretty thin, strong and lightweight, but I don't know how well it takes glue, being non-permeable.

Just to note all books...a magpie is a book, that is at least 8 pages long can be shipped Media Mail
