				   				 Hello everyone!
I just had a fellow swap-botter comment that she'd love to see my washi collection, and my wheels got to turning...
I could take a photo and send it to her as a postcard (we'd just done a creative collage postcard swap)...
OR... I could show her by making a collage postcard made up of actual samples of my washi tape collection. That just sounded like too much fun to pass up, and so I'm hosting a swap here for anyone else who might like to give it a try as well! :)
The details:
• all participants must have a 4.98 or higher rating to join
• you will have one partner for this swap
• you will make one postcard (4"X6" or larger) for your partner
• the postcard must have a sturdy backing
• your design can be as basic or elaborate as you'd like (anything from all stripes to using the washi to create shapes or a scene), but the front must be completely covered in washi! :) While I normally LOVE using other elements together with washi tape, the focus of this swap is to highlight and share a part of your washi tape collection.
• you will use at least a dozen different designs of washi tape from your collection in your design (and I know a lot of us have easily thrice that many...or more...)
• finally, you will seal the postcard so that the washi doesn't come off the card (I recommend mod podge, and encourage you to share your own tried-and-true methods in the comment section below)
• write a message to your partner on the back of the postcard (it can be about anything, but please share something more than just a few words)
• affix proper postage and send your card "naked" in the mail to your partner (not inside an envelope)
• this is sender's choice, so you can get started right away, and you should rate your partner a 5 as long as they make and send you a card that meets the above requirements by the swap deadline.
While this is a flat swap, there's obviously a crafty-creative-component, so I've classified it as a type-3 swap. :)
Have fun, and as always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. :)
PMs are best, as I check them frequently. Thanks!
