Canada ~ it really is very beautiful from sea to shining sea.

To your one partner, in this celebration swap, send 2 items of Canadian flavour.

Examples are:

** something representing your province or city, like a fridge magnet

** a keychain

** something in red and white

** stickers

** a recipe of a side dish in one of your bbq gatherings that you would consider Canadian (from your province)

** an item with a Canadian symbol (Bluenose, moose, maple, from a National Park)

Please also tell of a time you had with family or friends at a gathering because of this holiday ..or what you would like to one day do.

Hi @SilverHealer I'm so glad you're interested in these swaps. I have roots in the States but love my country of Canada, and am interested in both countries. You're enthusiasm is wonderful. :o)

Wow, this I guess was my first "package" swap within Canada. I have a really cool item I wanted to include, but even tho it only weighs a few grams, it is about an inch thick, to send it the postage would have been $12.95, take it out and replace with a flat item postage only $1.34. What's up with the postage costs within Canada? The exact same package (with the original item) I sent from here to the USA for $2.95. That makes no sense. Live and learn, I'll certainly be more cautious what I purchase for swaps in the future. Disappointed tho as this was adorable and I wanted my partner to have it. Bet I could have sent it from across the border for under $5.
