Comment: I'd come to Minnesota during the fall. Fewer mosquitos and less snow. Plus seeing the trees turn is always a treat. But, if you're desert rats avoid the winter, Half the folks on my lake during the summer move to AZ in the winter. Almost everyone escapes for a few weeks. I spend the winter in the Cities. Too dangerous to be stuck out in the woods in a blizzard.

Response: lol... WE don't, but plenty of others do! I think that is the craziest thing. (I've only lived here for 1 and a half years and I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing that.)
I don't believe this, but my husband put lights on one of the catus in the yard last weekend! (shaking my head here...)

Response: Not to long ago during a drive to the other side of the valley, I was trying to see 'through' the eyes of the folks who traveled west when the west was untamed and natural, it was sci-fi-ish! Who knows what another 100 years will bring!
