Comment: A high speed ferry? That's something I never heard about. We have a steam ferry on Lake Michigan which takes 4 hours to cross to Michigan. This Cat ferry kinda makes me feel a little weirded out, I have no idea why. Before I even read the back of the card, I could tell there was something different about that ship in the background. Hmmm... how fast does it go?

Comment: Thanks for resending. Your PO has a big hand cancel stamp. It's funny - you resent a hand cancel, but it got zapped with a machine cancel anyway. That is the BANE of hand-cancel senders! You take your chances, and see what happens! Some people hand-cancel, then put the card in a cellophane envelope. But I don't believe in that - my mail always flies naked!

I can never figure out how to dress my sons before school - it's cool in the morning, then sometimes blazing hot in the afternnon. I remember when my husband & I visited Maine in July one year, we were chilly most of the time, but loved the fresh air & scenic views everywhere we turned. Comment: This is a cute card, thank you, I like seeing animals from other parts of the nation/world! But, wow this card took a long time to get here! Mail is so weird sometimes hehe! Sometimes I can mail a friend and it's there in 48 hours, other times it's like this card and takes so long! You marked it sent on the 10th in the swap page, and it just arrived today. I couldn't read the date on the card, the cancellation stamp is blurry so just assuming it was sent on the 10th since that's when you marked it sent here on Swap-bot :)

Comment: Nice note! I live on the riverfront here. There is a Coast Guard ship stationed here. Plus, we have pirate ships show up for some festivals and the like. Others stop in and will be open for tours. I love the changing "scenery". :)

Comment: I'm grateful for the special seeds you sent me, especially the flowering kale, I wonder if it's edible. My grandmothers (& now I) make a Portuguese soup with regular kale leaves. Actually, the ones I buy at the store are more curly than the ones my grandmothers' grew. I've seen the floral varieties at public places, but I guess it probably wasn't grown as food. I hope you got some great seeds, too. Thank you so much for mine.
Response: I absolutely love to plant seeds and watch them grow! Sorry to say, I do not know about flowering kale but I bought some for me to try too. I have seen it and it is beautiful in the fall. Very glad you like what I picked out for you.
