Comment: Rating has been changed from 1 to 3 after several back-and-forth emails over a period of 2 months. Her claim was that she never received from her (other) partner to pass onto me. However, she never contacted me to let me know that she had nothing to send for over a month. Therefore, I had no book to send to my partner. After giving her a 1 rating she reached out again and we agreed that I would change the rating if she sent a book even though the swap is long over. I received it today so I'm changing from 1 to 3.
Response: I do not feel my response was hostile. I cannot send what I did not receive from a participant. So this put me in a bad place. All I CAN say we have had issues with our mail. It is all over the news. I went through my email and noticed I was in touch with Donna. She asked me if I had a book round that round and that someone turned up MIA. I NEVER got any of my TWO books I made back.

I have bird houses that my dad made and some my father in law made and a couple that my nieces made. Only the bluebird houses get used. Oh and the Eastern Phoebe nesting shelf does too. We have them visit every summer and have their babies. Makes me happy!

Comment: Cindy, it’s 100° here today, but at least at night it goes down to the 70s. Once my SIL was here in august & I was complaining bitterly about the heat. She said, “you don’t know heat until you live in Texas.” She, too, lived near Houston (in Katy.) I always remember that it could be worse! (Altho I also recall savanna in the summer being unbearable; worse than richmond ). Thanks for the postcard!

Comment: Insufficient swap. Details (frayed, wrinkled fabric bits and die cuts, etc.) were discussed over email but no action has been taken in two weeks. Also, swap was posted nearly 20 days after deadline. (There was communication around this, but date of postmark is beyond the extension).
Response: When I initially sent my two packages to Canada and India I forgot to put postage on the packages. This was communicated to both my partners. Once I got the packages back I reduced what I sent because of the cost, but still sent 10 items of floral nature. Most of these items I include in my swaps are on my projects. I feel I completed the swap with 10 items. It is my resolve you may not like what you get, but the swap was completed.
I considered resending things she would enjoy, but the postage is very costly.
I apologize the swap did not meet your expectactions.

Since you like fabric, have you ever thought about doing some simple fabric crafts as examples I could send to my missionary ladies in Ukraine?I do have some fabric and I send some over at times, but frankly, I don't know what to do with it. I do make card kits for the ladies, Fabric kit......? Something to think about. I supplies craft materials because there are no craft shops plus they are all poor. Ladies & children's ministries is what they do.

10/3/21: Messaged a couple days ago, but Cindy still hasn't been on since Sep 20th. She had marked sent 3 days after the deadline, so I had concern and she offered to re-send, but it had only been two weeks, so I told her I'd give it more time. It's over a month now, but she doesn't seem to have been on since shortly after I messaged her back. If you ever return Cindy and re-send I will re-rate. Hope everything's alright.

I bought a fabulous old floral quilt with one bad spot for just $5 at an antique mall in Charleston WV and can’t bring myself to cut it, thinking instead I should mend it. And thanks for the mention of the #14!!
